Former Easby Electronics Group CEO Nigel Copely has decided to take on a new opportunity and has joined the team at Cyclops as Group Sales Director.
With almost 40 years in the electronics industry, Nigel brings with him a wealth of experience in sales and an abundance of product knowledge to back his skills. He will be a huge asset to Cyclops as it moves forward and continues to expand.
Nigel has great experience in relationship building and listening to customers to understand their needs. He is looking forward to working closely with the senior team at Cyclops to drive further growth.

Throughout his time in the industry, Nigel has overcome some major challenges, including his career move from franchised distribution to non-franchised. Another key period in Nigel’s career was during the management buyout of Easby Group from Rebound Electronics. During the three years before the buyout, Nigel, who was MD of Easby at the time, led the company through a period of significant revenue growth, then continued in his instrumental role during the buyout, navigating the team throughout the negotiation and following the successful completion of the MBO.
From starting his career at the bottom and working his way up into CEO and senior management roles, Nigel has firsthand experience of almost every step in the electronic component supply chain. This has given him the ability to understand both the customer journey and the product value chain.
With a diverse range of experience under his belt, Nigel said he is ready to help Cyclops Group with its growth and development and is excited to see what the future holds. Moving forward, Nigel plans to lead the growth and development of Cyclops Group through expansion of customer base and increasing the value offered to our existing customers.
Less than a month into working at Cyclops, Nigel has already cemented himself as an indispensable figure in the sales team. His communication skills and sincerity are clear through his continued efforts to spend time with each member of the sales team.
